A+++ SOUND ON SIDE TWO -- that gives you top quality sonics for Psycho Killer, Don't Worry About The Government and Pulled Up. This side two murdered the typical pressings in an incredibly enjoyable shootout. Side one was also very strong and both sides play quietly. We couldn't believe how amazing this album can sound on a top copy. I'd even say that it's a sonic step up from More Songs About Buildings and Food, Fear Of Music and Remain In Light, probably tying with Little Creatures for top Talking Heads honors.

This is a Minty CBS Masterworks LP with a spirited performance by Ormandy! Includes Rimsky-Korsakov’s ’Capriccio Espagnol’. The sound does not have the tubey magic of golden age recordings. What it does have, however, is clean, clear, tonally correct ’70s sound -- transparent and undistorted, not thick and opaque like other records from the era. It works, in its own way. Very enjoyable!
