These records do not come with a cover or with the usual white test pressing sleeve. The music is pressed on one double-sided 33 rpm disc containing the complete album. We are also throwing in a single-sided 45 rpm disc containing the first half of side one. This will allow you to compare the sound of the two versions! 				Oscar Peterson Oscar’s Choice (Item #: peteroscar_0610) Our Price: $29.99 This is a very nice looking MPS Dutch Import Promo LP with the 'Promotional Not For Sale' sticker on the back cover. Green Dolphin Street' sounds great here! The sound varies but much of it is very good. Pianist Oscar Peterson is in his usual hard-swinging form on this LP which features one of his more obscure trios (with bassist George Mraz and drummer Ray Price). In addition to such standards as I'm Old Fashioned, All the Things You Are and Too Close for Comfort, Peterson explores Greensleeves, Johnny Griffin's The Jamfs Are Coming and (the biggest surprise) James P. The record plays about Mint Minus, very quiet for these old Shaded Dogs. Although this is not the best copy we've ever played, on this copy you still get some of the most beautiful string tone you've ever heard, courtesy of the Decca engineers who recorded this music. The performances of these shorter, lighter, more entertaining pieces are excellent as well, some of the best we've come across. more info
