				Hampton Hawes I’m All Smiles (Item #: hawesimall_0610) Our Price: $29.99 This very nice looking Contemporary Yellow Label LP has EXCELLENT SOUND on side two. Side one is fairly dull which is typical for this record but it really comes to life on side two. It has much more energy and presence on this side. Red Mithell’s bass is very prominent in the mix here so if you’re a fan of string bass in a live club setting then you should find much to enjoy here. more info


				Hampton Hawes This Is Hampton Vol. 2: The Trio (Item #: hawesvol2) Our Price: $24.99 This a demo pressing Contemporary LP, remastered in 1971. It has the gold Demonstration Not For Sale stamp and plays VERY quiet. Like many Contemporary albums from the ’50s, the mids and highs are very nice, but the bass is a bit overdone and lacks control. If you can take a few dB out of the bottom you will find much to like here. And of course Hawes' playing is always relaxed and engaging. By the way, we LOVE the way the piano sounds on this copy! more info

				Hanson/ Song of Democracy & Elegy/ Hanson Super Hot Stamper! (Item #: hansosongo_90150_0810) Our Price: $99.99 This Mercury FR-1 original pressing with the colorback cover (in shrink no less!) has Super Hot Stamper sound on side one for both the Hanson pieces. Quiet vinyl too. I believe at one time that the Song of Democracy was on the TAS List but I can find no record of it. The sound is excellent in that "Mercury" way, a bit bright and forward, dynamic and immediate. Side two is not as good, being darker and somewhat smeary. The vinyl is more typical for a Mercury on this side as well, and that means ticky as hell. more info

"My Lord What A Mornin' was the first of two albums that featured the choir known as the Belafonte Folk Singers, conducted by Bob Corman, who were now recording as a group on their own for RCA Victor. 				Harry Connick Jr. We Are in Love (Item #: conniweare) Our Price: $19.99 This is a very nice looking Columbia LP with Very Little Sign of Play (VLSOP). The cover (with its original shrink) is in excellent condition with just some light edge wear. "Connick's vocals, while limited, are personable, guitarist Russell Malone gets in some short solos and Branford Marsalis makes two strong guest appearances (one apiece on tenor and soprano). Most selections utilize an orchestra and, although Connick is heard on piano, the emphasis is on his voice. He contributed most of the tunes but the high points are the two standards "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" and "It's Alright with Me." - AMG Review more info

The box shows some wear around the edges and at the corners but is otherwise in very nice condition. The original booklet is missing. Performances are complete, unedited, and as performed live in the studio, and are produced by Lincoln Mayorga and Doug Sax and engineered by Bud Wyatt and Ron Hitchcock. This album was recorded March 26-30, 1979, at The First Presbyterian Church Of Hollywood (Wylie Chapel) and The Mastering Lab. more info

We picked up this copy because it had stampers that we'd had some success with in the past. It didn't turn out to be one of the big shootout winners but it did go through our extensive cleaning process and still has quite good sound, especially on side one. We guarantee that it sounds substantially better than any heavy vinyl pressing or any pressing that you may own -- or your money back! more info


				Haydn/ The Creation/ De Burgos/ 2 LP Box Set (Item #: 8925125) Our Price: $19.99 SLS 5125. Excellent sound! Dynamic, with a huge stage. These records are fairly quiet, M- or better, except for a scratch on side one. It’s about one inch long and it plays for the first quarter of an inch or so, then disappears for awhile, then comes back. It’s a moderate scratch, mostly in the right channel. more info
