Eagles Desperado
(Item #: eagledespe_ar)
 Our Price: $24.99

This is a very nice looking original British Import SYL pressing (the one that's on the TAS list) with Very Little Sign of Play (VLSOP). We picked up this copy because it had stampers that we'd had some success with in the past. It didn't turn out to be one of the big shootout winners but it did go through our extensive cleaning process. The record does have a swoosh which plays through all of side one, and a less noticeable swoosh on side two as well.

Eagles Eagles
(Item #: eagleeagle_ar)
 Our Price: $24.99

This is a very nice looking Asylum LP. You can tell it's made from a dub but a pretty good dub! This is Glyn Johns’ masterpiece -- rock albums just don't sound any better! It's exactly the kind of album that makes virtually ANY Audiophile Record pale in comparison. It's all here and more. Assuming you have the right copy!

Eagles Hotel California Super Hot Stamper!
(Item #: eaglehotel_0810_2)
 Our Price: $199.99

Side two here has SUPER HOT sound. In addition, note that this copy has a quality that was in mighty short supply during our shootout -- QUIET VINYL, probably the quietest of any copy we played the whole day. From the start side two was doing practically everything right. As the listening progressed we noticed that some of the rock and roll whomp was not as fully in evidence, and maybe a bit more extension on the very top would have helped the cymbal crashes, so we reduced the grade to a still very respectable -- in fact pretty awesome -- A++.

Eagles The Long Run Hot Stamper Side One!
(Item #: eaglethelo_0710)
 Our Price: $39.99

This very nice looking Asylum LP with Very Little Sign of Play (VLSOP) has very good sound on side one. We gave it an A+ for presence, although it was missing the sparkle of the very best copies. Side two unfortunately is nothing special, but it has been through our extensive cleaning process!

Earth, Wind & Fire Gratitude Super Hot Stamper!
(Item #: earthgrati_0810_1)
 Our Price: $199.99

SUPER HOT STAMPER SOUND on three out of four sides! Make no mistake: This is a killer copy of Gratitude, scoring eight pluses all told and having no side that's a letdown. Folks, this record is great from start to finish. Nice job, Mastering Lab. You did Earth Wind and Fire proud.

Earth, Wind & Fire Gratitude Factory Sealed
(Item #: earthgrati_ss)
 Our Price: $39.99

This is a RARE original Factory Sealed Columbia Double LP. These are often played to death so a sealed copy such as this is probably your best bet for quiet vinyl. As you may have read elsewhere on the site, the high point for me on this record is the song Can’t Hide Love, the best track this band ever recorded and a work of True Pop Genius. (Check out side four for the best lineup of any side.)

Eiji Kitamura Seven Stars
(Item #: kitamseven_0510)
 Our Price: $9.99

This is a Minty looking original Concord Jazz LP with Very Little Sign Of Play (VLSOP). I am a huge fan of Eiji, the famous clarinet player from Japan. He made one of my favorite Direct to Discs of all-time: Swing Sessions. Here he is joined by Cal Tjader and other top jazz musicians, doing classic material like Misty and Satin Doll. The sound is fairly typical for Concord: good, not great.

Electric Light Orchestra On the Third Day Hot Stamper!
(Item #: electonthe_0710_1)
 Our Price: $124.99

This especially quiet Hot Stamper pressing earned some very good grades of A+ to A++ on BOTH sides. A copy like this is proof positive that the master tape used to cut the album back in 1973 was right here in the good old U. S. of A. The sound has real life to it, unlike the sound on the import pressings of the album. Once you've played a good domestic pressing such as this one, it's obvious that the Brit vinyl is made from sub-generation copy tapes. Those imports sound like someone threw a blanket over your speakers.

Electric Light Orchestra On the Third Day White Hot Stamper!
(Item #: electonthe_0710)
 Our Price: $199.99

This White Hot Stamper Side Two is proof positive that the master tape used to cut the album back in 1973 was right here in the good old U. S. of A. The sound is positively JUMPING out of the speakers, like nothing you've ever heard before from this band -- especially if you have a British pressing of the album. The sound has real life to it, unlike the sound on the import pressings of the album. Once you've played a good domestic pressing such as this one, it's obvious that the Brit vinyl is made from sub-generation copy tapes.
