				Disc Doctor Stylus Cleaning Fluid with Brush, 1/2 ounce (Item #: 9DDStylus) by Disc Doctor Our Price: $28.00 A word about stylus cleaning. ESSENTIAL. That’s the word. These record cleaning fluids facilitate the release of the grunge in the grooves, putting it into solution where it can be sucked out with a vacuum. I believe some of the grunge is merely “softened” and doesn’t go into solution. When the stylus comes careening down the groove under enormous pressure -- thousands of pounds per square inch in fact -- some of this grunge is “plowed up” and then deposited on the stylus tip. After scrubbing records with these new miracle fluids I find the stylus sometimes needs cleaning after only 15 to 20 minutes of play. In other words, you can’t even get through one side of a record without hearing the effects of gunk on the needle! more Info
